Employer of the year 2020

For the ninth year in a row, the Serbian Association of Managers (SAM) awarded the “SAM Annual Awards” to the best of the best in Serbia. Even in such a challenging year as this one, exceptional managers, employers and companies that with their behaviour, activity and business deserved to be especially recognized and that can serve as an example of responsible business were awarded.

The gala evening of the Serbian Association of Managers under the slogan RESPONSIBLE LEADERSHIP was opened by Dragoljub Damljanović, President of the Serbian Association of Managers. Welcoming all the virtual attendees, Damljanović referred to the challenges that each of us had faced in recent months:

“This year has been challenging and very unexpected. All managers had to cope, to be very efficient and very empathetic, to find ways to try to save their company and their employees. I am proud of SAM because from the beginning of the pandemic, it has managed to activate itself for all members, but also those who are not, and to find ways to get financial aid and help organize companies in a pandemic environment through joint conferences with relevant people. We strongly influenced and tried to show the state how important it is to react as early as possible, and that is what happened in the end. I am proud of our members who managed to preserve their employees because that is the key to the success that will come when all of this is over. When we talk about 2021, we see a light at the end of the tunnel. What I am sure of is that we will never go back to the old ways again and that we will not work the way we used to work. „

SAM Annual Awards 2020 were awarded in the following categories: Manager of the Year, Young Manager of the Year, Employer of the Year and Socially Responsible Company of the Year.

We are very proud of the fact that our company was among the winners of this prestigious award. Termovent received the “Employer of the Year” award.

Najbolji poslodavac

During 2020, faced with a global pandemic, Termovent organized an internal “crisis board” at the very beginning, where a set of necessary measures was adopted, all with the goal of keeping our employees healthy and the company going in the direction it planned. During the first month of the state of emergency in the Republic of Serbia, the company changed its focus and put the main priority on cooperation in creating new Covid laboratories. During the first 6 months of the pandemic, Termovent and its partners participated in the creation of the Covid laboratory “Fire Eye” in Belgrade, the plant for the production of Covid vaccines in Belgium, as well as the largest Covid laboratory in Europe (Poonawalla science park), which is directly supported by the World Health Organizations and the Ministry of Health of the Netherlands. All these projects are feasible with maximum protection measures where one part of the company’s employees worked from their homes, and their fellow engineers and installers are constantly on projects in 5 different countries (Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria, Russia and Georgia). These projects are a confirmation of the good reputation of Termovent that it enjoys at home and abroad.

Good business decisions have given us the opportunity to significantly expand our team so that this year the number of employees in Termovent increased by 22%.

The year 2020 will be remembered for the great cooperation with the Science Technology Park in Belgrade, where our colleagues from the R&D sector will work, and where the Termovent Academy was opened. Termovent Academy is a new program of our company that was launched this year, and which is intended primarily for our employees, but also for the wider community and young people as part of our efforts to reduce brain drain from Serbia.
