TERMOVENT SOLUTIONS AT THE NEW FACTORY OF THE COMPANY CONTINENTAL

Through years of work and experience, we are proud that today Termovent’s production program has a very wide application. Air handling units manufactured by Termovent are located in numerous facilities in Serbia and throughout Europe, one of which is the Continental company’s production facility, located in Novi Sad.

We are talking about German company that employs around 1,000 people in Serbia, of which 800 are engineers. Continental develops and manufactures high-tech components for the automotive industry and is a true example of the capabilities that young engineers in Serbia possess. We are honored to have received the trust for the production and delivery of air handling units at the new factory of this company, which was opened in March 2021. On this project, we collaborated with the company Termo team, which was the contractor for CT Park.

Termovent produced and delivered five STD:pro air handling units, with a total air flow of 174,200 m3/h.

Temovent continues to cooperate with the company Continental, through regular servicing of air handling units.

We asked our colleague Velimir Perišić, manager of the Services and Automation sector within the Air Treatment division, to share a little more about this project.

It was an honor to have an opportunity to work on this project. I am happy to share some details about Termovent’s scope of work.

In addition to air handling units, Termovent delivered complete electrical cabinets and a control system. Termovent also took care of putting the system into operation and training users.

The complete system is based on a standard solution for our air handling units.

A Siemens Climatix control system, IO module and control panel. The configuration of the controller and touch panel is fully adapted to the user’s requirements (regulation of flow, pressure in the space, temperature and humidity). It is possible to use various additional functions such as calendar, temperature compensation, different user accesses, overview of trends, current alarms and alarm history, etc.

From the periphery, equipment manufactured by Siemens and Danfoss (frequency regulators) was used. While the equipment in the cabinet for powering the elements of the automation system is manufactured by Schneider Electric, while the equipment for signal acquisition is Phoenix contact.

The complete assembly equipment and cabling was done in the factory itself and fast connections were used, which allows for functional testing before delivery and quick connection on site, without the possibility of error. This process has accelerated the time of testing on the facility and commissioning itself.

The system has been successfully used for over a year and we are glad to have an active contract for regular periodic maintenance of the air conditioning chamber. I would like to take this opportunity to thank company Continental for the excellent cooperation and wish for successful future business.
