VISITS OF UNIVERSITY OF BELGRADE STUDENTS TO TERMOVENT ACADEMY

Through its thirty years of business, the company Termovent has recognized the fact that cooperation with the University is of great importance. In this sense, we strive to continuously strengthen cooperation with the University and selflessly share our knowledge and experiences with students in order to contribute to their education and to get them involved in business processes as quickly as possible.

We are pleased that in December 2022 we organized gatherings with almost 60 students from technical faculties, namely: Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade. These events took place within the Termovent Academy located in the Belgrade Science and Technology Park.

This has already become a regular practice as we organize socializing with students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, in cooperation with Dr. Milan Ristanović, full professor at the Department of Automatic Control. For fellow students of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Technology and Metrology, this was the first opportunity for this kind of socializing and visiting the training center of the Termovent Academy. Certainly, we believe that in the future we will have more opportunities to host students and continue these and similar gatherings. The professors who supported the organization of the visit were: Dr. Mirjana Kijevčanin, full professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering and Dr. Ivona Radović, full professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering from the Faculty of Technology and Metrology, as well as Dr. Jovan Trifunović, associate professor at the Department of Energy Converters and drives, from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering.

The aim of the visits was to introduce our company to young academics, as well as to hold a professional-technical lecture on air conditioning in clean rooms, air parameters, types of air handling units and software for choosing an air handling unit. Also, a lecture was held on the system of automatic control of the operation of air handling units, on BMS and EMS system in the environment of clean rooms, as well as a lecture on the electrical cabinet of the air handling unit. The training center within the Termovent Academy has a real installation of a clean room system (classes D, B, A), an associated HVAC system, an air handling unit with an electrical cabinet.

This is the biggest benefit of these visits – the students had the opportunity to see how a real HVAC and BMS/EMS system intended for the needs of a clean room in the pharmaceutical industry works, and to gain a broader picture of business in their profession.

Also, during the event, Termovent briefly presented some of its open positions and invited students who are interested in working in our company to contact us in order to get to know each other better. We are glad that this initiative met with a good response and it will be our pleasure to continue to get to know each other better.

We believe that it was particularly useful for the students that the lecturers at these events were Termovent employees, graduates of the faculties from which the students visited us. They showed them in the best way what working in the profession looks like after graduation and what knowledge is acquired through business.

Colleagues Nada Savić and Aleksandra Bogovac participated in the event with the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, colleagues Predrag Nikolić, Nikola Perić, Uroš Birčanin and Filip Ćetković spoke with the students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, while colleagues Đurđica Mutavdžić and Milivoje Kremic, were at the event with students from Faculty of Electrical Engineering. We would like to use this opportunity to sincerely thank the professors who trusted Termovent and supported the organization of events for their students.
